Master Planning of Resources
Explore and be able to apply the principles of demand management, sales and operations planning, master scheduling, and distribution planning, and to identify conditions that require action. This module evaluates knowledge of both supply and demand planning for mid- to long-term independent demand. Topics include:
Recognizing all demands for goods and services to support the marketplace
Bringing together all the plans for the business
Disaggregating the production plan into an executable schedule
Planning the distribution network and replenishment

Execution and Control of Operations
Learn to translate plans into operational activities and define and apply techniques in the operations field. Topics include:
Comparing actual output to plans and taking appropriate corrective actions
Communicating ideas in a group setting and instructing others in tasks
Creating operational solutions in the face of competing resources
Explaining the release of work and reporting performance through data collection
Understanding the execution of quality initiatives and continuous improvement plans
Evaluating trade-offs and participating in design decisions

Important Registration Information
Starting Fall 2006, APICS students can register for certification courses online. Payment can also be made online through Fanshawe College.
Students can still register by sending their registration form by fax, mail, or in person. Complete registration information is available in the Continuing Education Catalog. The catalog is available online at http://www.fanshawec.ca/, or you can call the Office of the Registrar at 519-452-4444.
All courses are offered in conjunction with Fanshawe College, Main Campus, London, Ontario.
Certification Exam
There is a certification exam scheduled at Fanshawe College, on August 13, 2011. If you wish to attend, you can fill out the application form and get it to Ross Liddycoat or Marg Dixon. If you know someone taking a course at Fanshawe, you can send it with them to the class, along with your payment of $185 CDN. Deadline for the application to Ross or Marg is August 5, 2011.
APICS Re-certification Exam
APICS has recently approved a re-certification exam, for a limited time only, to allow candidates with expired CPIM designations, to renew their certification by taking only one exam. For details, please see the attached

Education Rebate Available
The London APICS chapter offers its members, professionals and full-time students alike, a rebate on Fanshawe College registration, available on completion of the course. Use the attached rebate form and follow the printed instructions. Rebate form
